The ZERO Zero SR high beam and low beam headlight bulbs both utilize a 9003 bulb size. The replacement chart covers 2016 to 2017 vehicle production years with corresponding bulb specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The 9003 bulb is an ANSI-standard halogen type recognized in the US and Canada. It operates on 12 volts and carries a dual-filament design rated at 60 watts for high beam and 55 watts for low beam, mounted on a P43t base.
The dual-filament construction of the 9003 means a single bulb serves both high and low beam functions. In the Zero SR (2016-2017), this applies to both headlight positions, as the same bulb size is specified for each.
The P43t base is a bayonet-style fitting with a 43mm flange. Bulbs with differing base types are not interchangeable with this fitment, even if their voltage and wattage ratings are otherwise similar.
The 9003 designation is the ANSI equivalent of the international HB2 standard. Products labeled as HB2 carry the same electrical and physical specifications and are generally cross-compatible with 9003 sockets.
The 60W/55W wattage split is a regulated characteristic of the 9003 standard. Substituting a bulb with a higher wattage rating risks exceeding the thermal tolerances of the headlight housing and associated wiring.
