The Victory Vision high beam headlight uses a 9003 bulb size, while low beam headlight applications require either HS1 or D1R bulb sizes for this motorcycle model. The replacement chart covers 2008 to 2017 production years with corresponding bulb size specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The Victory Vision uses the 9003 bulb for the high beam headlight across all listed model years, spanning 2008-2017. The 9003 is a dual-filament halogen type rated at 12V with a 60W high beam filament and a 55W low beam filament, built to the ANSI standard used in the United States and Canada. Its base designation is P43t.
The HS1 bulb serves as the low beam headlight across the 2011-2017 model years, and also as one of two low beam options for the 2008-2010 model years on vehicles equipped with halogen capsule headlamps. The HS1 is a dual-filament halogen type designed specifically for motorcycle applications, rated at 12V and 35W on both filaments. It follows the ECE standard and uses a PX43t base.
Although the 9003 and HS1 bulbs share a similar base collar size, they are not interchangeable. The 9003 uses a P43t base while the HS1 uses a PX43t base, and the two types differ in wattage output and regulatory standard. Substituting one for the other risks improper fitment or non-compliant light output.
For the Victory Vision (2008-2010) equipped with HID headlamps, the low beam position takes a D1R bulb. The D1R is a high-intensity discharge xenon type operating at 85V and 35W, with an integral ignitor built into the bulb body. Its PK32d-3 base and the presence of the ignitor make it physically and electrically distinct from the halogen options used in the same position on halogen-equipped versions of the same model years.
The D1R designation includes an "R" suffix indicating the bulb is intended for reflector-type headlamp housings, as opposed to projector-type housings, which use the D1S variant. Using a D1S in a reflector housing designed for a D1R can produce stray light and reduce beam control.
The 2008-2010 Victory Vision low beam position has two distinct fitment paths depending on the headlamp system installed at the factory. Vehicles with HID headlamps require the D1R, while those with halogen capsule headlamps require the HS1. These two bulb types are not substitutable for one another due to differences in operating voltage, base type, and ignition requirements.
