The Ski-Doo MX Z X headlight bulb specifications include 9008 and 9003 sizes for both high beam and low beam applications. The replacement chart covers 2011 through 2019 production years with corresponding bulb size data.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The 9003 bulb is a dual-filament halogen type operating at 12V with a 60W high beam filament and a 55W low beam filament. It uses a P43t base and meets ANSI standards for the US and Canada.
The 9008 bulb is also a dual-filament halogen type operating at 12V, rated at 65W for the high beam filament and 55W for the low beam filament. It uses a P26t base and likewise meets ANSI standards for the US and Canada.
The primary distinction between the 9003 and 9008 bulbs lies in their base type and high beam wattage. The 9003 uses a P43t base at 60W high beam, while the 9008 uses a P26t base at 65W high beam, making the two bulbs physically and electrically non-interchangeable despite their similar dual-filament halogen design.
The Ski-Doo MX Z X used the 9003 bulb for both the high beam and low beam headlights across the 2011-2018 model years.
For the 2019 model year, both the high beam and low beam headlight positions shifted to the 9008 bulb, which carries a different base type than the 9003 used in prior years.
Because the P43t base of the 9003 and the P26t base of the 9008 are physically distinct, a 9003 bulb cannot serve as a direct replacement in a 2019 MX Z X headlight socket, and vice versa for earlier model years.
