• The H7 bulb is the most widely used type across the Porsche Boxster specifications, appearing in high beam positions for 1997-2004 model years without headlamp system qualifiers, and in low beam positions across halogen capsule headlamp configurations from 1997-2016. It operates at 12V and 55W, uses a PX26d base, and conforms to ECE standards with additional approval in the US and Japan.
• The H9 bulb serves as the high beam light source in halogen capsule headlamp configurations for the 2005-2016 Porsche Boxster. It shares the same 12V operating voltage as the H7 but draws 65W and uses a PGJ19-5 base, making it physically and electrically incompatible with H7 sockets despite the two types appearing together within the same headlamp assembly on those model years.
