• The Nissan Armada uses two distinct high beam bulb types across its production run. Model years 2005-2015 use the 9005 bulb, while the 2017-2020 model years use the H9 bulb instead.
• The H9 bulb is a European-standard halogen type with a PGJ19-5 base. It operates at 65 watts and is not directly interchangeable with the 9005 despite sharing similar light output characteristics, due to differences in base design and retaining tab placement.
• The 9005 bulb, also known as HB3, uses a P20d base and operates at 65 watts. It is a single-filament halogen bulb designated for high beam use only.
• The 9006 bulb, also known as HB4, shares the same P22d base family as the 9005 but is not interchangeable with it. The 9006 is rated at 55 watts and is designated strictly for low beam use.
• Although the 9005 and 9006 bulbs appear physically similar, their retaining tabs are positioned differently by design to prevent incorrect installation in the wrong housing socket.
• Low beam fitment for the Nissan Armada is specified only for the 2005-2015 model years, all of which use the 9006 bulb.
