International HX620 high beam headlight uses 9005 bulb size while low beam headlight uses 9012 bulb size. The replacement bulb size chart covers 2017 to 2019 production years.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The 9005 bulb is the specified high beam headlight fitment for the International HX620 across the 2017-2019 model years. This bulb type operates at 65 watts and produces a single-filament halogen output commonly associated with high-intensity forward lighting.
The 9012 bulb serves as the low beam headlight fitment for the 2017-2019 International HX620. The 9012 is a single-filament halogen bulb that shares the same physical base and housing as the 9006, but is rated at a higher wattage of 55 watts with a slightly different internal filament design that produces greater lumen output.
Although the 9012 and 9006 share a physically compatible base, they are not electrically interchangeable without modification. The 9006 operates at a lower output level, meaning substituting it for the 9012 in the low beam position of the HX620 would result in reduced light output compared to the factory specification.
The 9005 high beam bulb uses an HB3 base designation under international standards. This base type is not cross-compatible with the 9006 or 9012 family, which use the HB4 base, making the high and low beam sockets on the HX620 physically distinct from one another.
Both the 9005 and 9012 bulb types are halogen technology, meaning they rely on a tungsten filament enclosed within a halogen gas-filled quartz envelope. This construction allows for higher operating temperatures and greater luminous efficiency compared to standard incandescent bulbs.
