The Honda CR-Z uses two distinct front fog light bulb types across its production run: the H8 for 2013-2016 models and the H11 for 2011-2012 models.
Both the H8 and H11 are single-filament halogen bulbs operating on a 12-volt system, conforming to ECE standards recognized in Europe, worldwide, and the United States.
The H8 bulb is rated at 35 watts, while the H11 operates at 55 watts, meaning the two types draw different levels of power and are not electrically equivalent.
The H8 uses a PGJ19-1 base, whereas the H11 uses a PGJ19-2 base. These base types are physically distinct, which prevents cross-installation between the two bulb types.
Because the H8 and H11 differ in both wattage and base configuration, a bulb specified for 2011-2012 CR-Z fog lights is not a direct fit for the 2013-2016 model years, and vice versa.
