Honda Motorcycle VFR1200X uses H7 bulb size for both high beam and low beam headlight applications. The replacement chart covers 2016 to 2017 model years with corresponding bulb size specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The H7 is a single-filament halogen bulb operating at 12 volts and 55 watts, fitted with a PX26d base. Single-filament construction means the bulb serves one lighting function only, which is why separate H7 units are specified for both the high beam and low beam positions on the Honda Motorcycle VFR1200X.
The PX26d base is a keyed, two-pin connector design. The keying prevents incorrect orientation during installation, as inserting the bulb at the wrong angle is mechanically blocked by the base geometry.
The H7 carries ECE certification, a regulatory standard recognized across Europe and a large portion of the worldwide market. It also holds approval in the United States and Japan, making it one of the more broadly accepted halogen bulb types across major automotive markets.
Both the high beam and low beam headlight positions on the 2016-2017 VFR1200X use the H7 specification. While the same bulb type is used in both positions, the two sockets remain separate and non-interchangeable in terms of their housing locations within the headlight assembly.
