The Hino 268 headlight assembly uses 9003 and H6054 bulb sizes for both high beam and low beam functions. The replacement chart covers vehicle production years spanning 2005 to 2014 with corresponding bulb size specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The 9003 bulb is a dual-filament halogen type, meaning a single bulb serves both high beam and low beam functions through two separate filaments within one housing. It operates at 12V and draws 60W on the high beam filament and 55W on the low beam filament, with a P43t base.
The H6054 is a 5x7-inch rectangular sealed beam unit rather than a replaceable bulb. When this unit fails, the entire assembly is replaced rather than an internal filament or capsule.
The Hino 268 used the H6054 sealed beam unit for both high beam and low beam headlights in the 2005 model year.
From 2006-2014, the Hino 268 transitioned to the 9003 bulb for both high beam and low beam headlights, replacing the sealed beam format used in 2005.
Both the 9003 and H6054 are ANSI-standardized types applicable to the US and Canadian markets.
The 9003 bulb is not interchangeable with the H6054 sealed beam unit. The two types represent fundamentally different headlight assembly formats, and a vehicle fitted for one cannot directly accept the other without modification to the housing.
