Harley-Davidson VRSCR Street Rod Headlight Bulb Size
The Harley-Davidson VRSCR Street Rod uses an H9 bulb size for high beam and H11 bulb size for low beam headlight applications. The replacement chart covers 2006 to 2007 model years with corresponding bulb specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The Harley-Davidson VRSCR Street Rod uses two distinct halogen bulb types across its headlight system for the 2006-2007 model years: the H9 for the high beam and the H11 for the low beam.
Both the H9 and H11 are single-filament halogen bulbs, meaning each handles only one lighting function. This is why the VRSCR Street Rod requires separate bulbs for high and low beam operation rather than a single dual-filament unit.
The H9 operates at 12V and 65W, while the H11 runs at 12V and 55W. The higher wattage of the H9 reflects its role in the high beam position, where greater light output is required.
Although both bulbs share the same ECE standard classification and are approved for use in the United States, they are not interchangeable. The H9 uses a PGJ19-5 base and the H11 uses a PGJ19-2 base, making the two physically incompatible with each other's sockets.
The differing base designations, PGJ19-5 for the H9 and PGJ19-2 for the H11, are part of the PGJ19 family of bases. Despite belonging to the same family, the numeric suffix indicates a different pin configuration, which prevents cross-fitting between the two positions.
