• The 9003 bulb is a dual-filament type, meaning a single bulb serves both high beam and low beam functions. In the Freightliner Coronado, this bulb is specified for both high beam and low beam positions on 2013-2018 models equipped with a 2-headlamp configuration, reflecting its dual-purpose design.
• The 9008 bulb, also known as H13, is likewise a dual-filament bulb that handles both high and low beam output from one unit. The 2012 Coronado uses this bulb for both the high beam and low beam positions regardless of headlamp count, as no configuration variants are noted for that year.
• On 2013-2018 Coronado vehicles fitted with a 4-headlamp system, the high beam and low beam functions are split across dedicated single-filament bulbs. The 9005XS handles the high beam role, while the 9006XS handles the low beam role in that same configuration.
• The 9005XS and 9006XS are short-base variants of the standard 9005 and 9006 bulbs. The "XS" designation indicates a physically shorter base, which is relevant to socket fitment and means these bulbs are not directly interchangeable with their standard-base counterparts despite sharing similar electrical ratings.
