Ford F-800 headlight bulbs utilize H6054 and 9007 bulb sizes for both high beam and low beam applications. The replacement chart covers vehicle production years spanning 1980 to 1999 with corresponding bulb size specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The H6054 is a 5x7-inch rectangular sealed beam unit operating at 12V. Unlike a conventional replaceable bulb, the entire sealed beam assembly is replaced as a single unit when it fails.
The 9007 is a dual-filament halogen bulb with a PX29t base, rated at 12V and 65W on high beam and 55W on low beam. Its dual-filament design allows a single bulb to serve both high and low beam functions within a composite headlamp housing.
Both the H6054 and 9007 conform to ANSI standards recognized in the United States and Canada, meaning they are standardized across multiple vehicle applications and not proprietary to the Ford F-800.
The Ford F-800 used the H6054 sealed beam unit as the sole headlight bulb for both high and low beam from 1980-1992, as well as in the 1999 model year.
From 1993-1998, the F-800 was produced with two distinct headlamp configurations: a two-rectangular-headlamp system using the H6054 and a composite headlamp system using the 9007. These two configurations are not interchangeable, as each requires a different bulb type.
Because the H6054 is a sealed beam unit and the 9007 is a composite halogen bulb, the two types represent fundamentally different headlamp technologies and cannot be substituted for one another without a corresponding change in the headlamp housing assembly.
