The Ford F-600 high beam and low beam headlight bulb sizes include H6054, 9007, and H6024 options. A replacement chart documents bulb specifications across 1970 to 1994 production years.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The H6054 is the most widely specified bulb across the Ford F-600 headlight data, covering both high beam and low beam positions from 1979-1993, with the exception of 1978, and also appearing in 1973, 1975-1977. It is a 5x7-inch rectangular sealed beam unit operating at 12V, conforming to ANSI standards applicable in the US and Canada. As a sealed beam design, the entire unit is replaced rather than an internal filament or capsule.
The H6024 is a 7-inch round sealed beam unit, also rated at 12V and built to the same ANSI standard. On the Ford F-600, it serves both the high beam and low beam positions for 1970-1972, 1974, and 1978. Like the H6054, it is replaced as a complete assembly.
The 9007 is a dual-filament halogen bulb with a PX29t base, rated at 12V with a wattage of 65W on high beam and 55W on low beam. Its dual-filament construction means a single bulb handles both beam functions, which differs from the sealed beam units used in earlier F-600 configurations.
For 1993-1994, the Ford F-600 headlight fitment depends on the headlamp system installed. Vehicles equipped with 2 rectangular headlamps use the H6054 sealed beam unit, while those equipped with composite headlamps use the 9007 halogen bulb. These two bulb types are not interchangeable with each other.
The H6054 and H6024 sealed beam units are physically and electrically distinct. The H6054 is rectangular at 5x7 inches, while the H6024 is a 7-inch round unit. Substituting one for the other is not supported by the specifications, as each corresponds to a different headlamp housing format.
The 9007 bulb introduced with composite headlamp fitment in 1993-1994 represents a different construction category from the sealed beam units used throughout the rest of the F-600 range. Composite headlamp housings retain the lens and reflector separately, accepting a replaceable bulb rather than a complete sealed assembly.
