Both the 9005 and 9006 are ANSI-standardized halogen bulb types recognized in the United States and Canada, each operating on a 12-volt electrical system.
The 9005 is a single-filament halogen bulb rated at 65 watts, fitted with a P20d base, and serves the high beam function in the F355 GTS.
The 9006 is a single-filament halogen bulb rated at 55 watts, fitted with a P22d base, and serves the low beam function. Its lower wattage relative to the 9005 reflects the reduced output typical of low beam applications.
