• The D1S bulb, used in both high beam and low beam positions on the Cadillac Escalade from 2007-2014, is an ECE-standard HID xenon discharge bulb rated at 85V and 35W. It features a PK32d-2 base with an integral ignitor and is designed specifically for projector-type headlamp housings.
• The D1R bulb, which appears in the low beam position on the Escalade from 2003-2006, shares the same 85V, 35W electrical rating as the D1S but carries a PK32d-3 base instead. It is engineered for reflector-type housings rather than projector-type housings, making the two bulbs non-interchangeable despite their similar power ratings.
• The 9005 halogen bulb, used in the high beam position from 1999-2006, operates on a standard 12V automotive circuit at 65W. It follows the ANSI standard applicable in the US and Canada and uses a P20d base with a single filament.
