Arctic Cat Thundercat high beam and low beam headlight bulbs utilize 894, 9003, 9007, and 885 bulb sizes depending on model configuration. The replacement chart covers 1993 to 2002 production years with corresponding bulb size specifications.
The year-by-year compatibility chart below provides a quick reference to verify the correct bulb size for your vehicle.
The Arctic Cat Thundercat uses three distinct bulb types across its high beam headlight positions depending on the model year: the 894 (1999-2002), the 9003 (1993-1994 and 1998), and the 9007 (1995-1997).
The 9003 and 9007 bulbs are dual-filament halogen types, meaning a single bulb physically contains both the high and low beam filaments within one housing. In the Thundercat (1993-1998), both the high beam and low beam positions reference the same bulb size, which reflects this dual-filament design.
From 1999-2002, the Arctic Cat Thundercat transitions to separate single-filament bulbs for each beam function: the 894 for high beam and the 885 for low beam. These two bulbs share the same PGJ13 base type but differ in wattage, with the 894 rated at 37.5W and the 885 rated at 50W.
Because the 894 and 885 share the same PGJ13 base, physical fitment in the socket may be possible between the two, but their wattage ratings differ and they are not interchangeable by specification for the 1999-2002 Thundercat.
The 9003 bulb operates at 12V with a 60W high beam filament and a 55W low beam filament, using a P43t base. The 9007 operates at 12V with a 65W high beam filament and a 55W low beam filament, using a PX29t base. These two bulbs are not interchangeable due to differing base types and wattage ratings.
All four bulb types listed in these specifications, the 894, 885, 9003, and 9007, conform to ANSI standards applicable in both the United States and Canada.
